How do I connect any wearables to StepsApp?

StepsApp works seamlessly with most wearables, including smartwatches, fitness trackers, and smart rings, by syncing step data through the Apple Health app on your iPhone. As long as your device can sync steps to Apple Health, StepsApp can read and display your activity.

We offer setup instructions and tips for connecting the most popular wearable brands below.

Step 1: Allow StepsApp to Access Apple Health

To get started, first grant access to StepsApp:

  1. Open StepsApp
  2. Go to Settings > Apple Health
  3. Toggle on Apple Health Sync

Step 2: Connect Your Wearables to Apple Health

To use your wearables with StepsApp, you need to make sure it’s connected to your iPhone and that it syncs step data to Apple Health. After completing syncing Apple Health to StepsApp, the next step is to connect your wearables to Apple Health – Apple Health acts like a bridge to link them together.

Most wearables require their official app (such as Fitbit or Garmin Connect) to connect with your device. Since not all apps sync directly with Apple Health, you may also need a helper app like Fitbit Sync to transfer your step data.

Below, you’ll find more detailed instructions for the most commonly used brands:
